Justicia Marin

Finished build-to-print cable assemblies grouped on a workbench

Build-to-print cable assemblies from your drawing, sample or specification

Justicia Marin supplies build-to-print cable assemblies for manufacturers, OEMs and integrators: we act as a custom cable assembly supplier and manage cable assemblies made by manufacturers in our network. You define the drawing, the sample or the requirements; we select the right manufacturer, coordinate the manufacturing and manage the delivery in the agreed quantity and lead time.

What it includes

A custom cable assembly is not just a cable with two connectors

A build-to-print cable assembly can include several conductors, branches, terminals, connectors, sleeves, protections, labels, groupings and fixing points. Our job is to translate your specification into an order that a manufacturer in the network can repeat without deviations, and to verify the result before it reaches your line.

  • Cutting to length to the tolerance stated on the drawing
  • Stripping and preparation of conductors according to cross-section
  • Crimping of terminals with the terminal manufacturer’s tooling
  • Tinning of wire ends when the application requires it

Common applications

Applications of build-to-print cable assemblies

These are the uses that reach us most often. If yours does not fit exactly, send us the specification and we will study it.

Internal machine wiring

Interconnection assemblies inside machinery and equipment: power, signal, control and communication between modules, with lengths and outlets defined by the drawing.

Interconnection between boards and peripherals

Links between electronic board, sensors, actuators, displays or power supplies, where the connector and the pitch determine the whole assembly.

Cabinets, panels and sub-assemblies

Cabling prepared to be fitted in a cabinet or panel, grouped and identified so that the fitter does not have to interpret anything.

Prototype, pre-series and repeat orders

From single units to validate a design to recurring runs with the same configuration order after order.

Starting data and criteria

What to define before requesting build-to-print cable assemblies

The quote is prepared on the information available and sets out in writing the scope the selected manufacturer can take on.

  • Cutting to length to the tolerance stated on the drawing
  • Stripping and preparation of conductors according to cross-section
  • Crimping of terminals with the terminal manufacturer’s tooling
  • Tinning of wire ends when the application requires it
  • Identification by label, screen-printing or heat-shrink sleeve
  • Dimensional and electrical verification according to the agreed criterion
  • Individual or collective packaging according to your goods-in process

If the application is subject to requirements such as the RoHS Directive, it is advisable to define them in the specification and in the documentation requested from the manufacturer.

Decision points

Documentation and requirements for build-to-print cable assemblies

These three milestones turn an initial need into a configuration that can be ordered again without reinterpretation.

01

You send us the specification

Drawing, schematic, physical sample, photographs or component list. The more complete the information, the more precise and faster the quote.

02

You validate a sample

When the project requires prior validation, the selected manufacturer prepares a sample and you approve it on your own equipment before the agreed quantity is launched.

03

We supply and ensure continuity

We coordinate delivery in the agreed quantity and lead time, with the agreed documentation and the same configuration in later orders.

How we coordinate the supply

How we manage build-to-print cable assemblies

The aim is for you to approve a sample before a quantity is manufactured, so that nobody buys blind.

1

Review of your specification

Drawing, schematic, physical sample, photographs or component list. The more complete the information, the more precise and faster the quote.

2

We review and propose

We analyse feasibility, propose equivalents when a part number is hard to source and send you a quote with price, lead time and conditions in writing.

3

Sample approval

If the project requires prior validation, we coordinate a sample for your approval on your own equipment before launching the series.

4

Supply and continuity

We coordinate delivery in the agreed quantity and lead time, with the agreed documentation and the same configuration in later orders.

Coordinated manufacturing

Manufacturing of build-to-print cable assemblies with specialised manufacturers

Manufacturing build-to-print cable assemblies does not require the same processes or the same controls for a prototype as for a recurring series. That is why we do not work with a single shop: we assign each project to the manufacturer in the network whose tooling, processes and control capability fit what your specification requires.

Looking for a custom cable assembly manufacturer?

If you are looking for a custom cable assembly manufacturer, Justicia Marin coordinates the manufacturing with specialised manufacturers, selected according to the drawing, materials, connectors, volume and control requirements of the project. Production is carried out through our network; we centralise selection, coordination and supply so that you work with a single point of contact and a single order.

Criteria we use to allocate manufacturing

Type of assembly — internal machine wiring, board-to-peripheral interconnection, cabinet or sub-assembly

Connectors and terminals — involved, and the crimping tooling each part number requires

Volume and repeat orders — prototype unit, short pre-series or repeated series

Control — dimensional verification, electrical continuity and documentation, as we agree

Purchasing criterion — competitive price with verified quality, certification or lead time

From prototype to series

The same build-to-print cable assembly can start as a single unit to validate a design and end as a recurring supply. When the project requires prior validation, the manufacturer prepares a sample and you approve it on your own equipment before a quantity is launched. From then on we keep the approved configuration between orders, so that repeating does not depend on reinterpreting the drawing.

If the assembly grows in branches and connectors, it is treated as custom wire harnesses and cable harnesses. If the project starts with validation, we approach it as prototype and low-volume cable assemblies.

What this service actually covers

Justicia Marin does not manufacture in facilities of its own: we select, coordinate and verify the supply through a network of manufacturers. The specific processes, tooling and capabilities depend on the manufacturer assigned to each project and are confirmed in writing in the quote before any order. Materials, cross-sections, tolerances and test requirements are agreed case by case from your specification.

Do you have a drawing or a sample?

Send us the specification and we will prepare a quote.

With a drawing, a photograph or a physical sample we can start. If information is missing, we tell you exactly what we need to close the price.

What you can send us

  • Bill of materials or part numbers (Excel, PDF or text)
  • Drawing or schematic for custom assemblies (PDF, DXF or similar)
  • Estimated quantity and expected repeat orders
  • Your priority: competitive price, certification or lead time
  • Required standards or documentation
  • Target delivery date
