Justicia Marin coordinates prototype cable assemblies and low-volume runs for manufacturers and integrators, from your drawing, sketch, sample or specification. We select and coordinate the specialised manufacturer taking into account both the units you need now and the volume you expect later.
Prototype, pre-series and low-volume run
These are not three names for the same thing. A prototype is the first units with which you check a configuration: lengths, connectors, terminals, identification or whatever you have defined for your application. A pre-series is a later small batch, used to check that the configuration repeats identically before a larger supply. And a low-volume run is a limited-volume regime that can be kept stable for years, not necessarily an intermediate step.
A prototype can correspond to build-to-print cable assemblies, to custom wire harnesses or to custom electromechanical assemblies.
Stages and volume regimes
Each answers a different question and allows a different level of requirement. Not all projects go through them in order.
First units to check a configuration: that the lengths are right, that the connectors and terminals are the correct ones and that the assembly fits where it has to fit. You can check it on your own equipment before closing the definition.
A small batch with the configuration already closed. It is used to check that it repeats identically before ordering larger quantities. It is not an approval or a standards test: it is a repeatability check agreed with you.
Supply in limited and repeated quantities, usual for low-volume or niche equipment. It can be a stable regime: some projects stay here and do not need to move to larger quantities.
We fix in writing the approved configuration and the revision it corresponds to, so that later orders do not depend on anyone’s memory and a change of revision is identifiable.
Starting data and criteria
The quote is prepared on the information available and sets out in writing the scope the selected manufacturer can take on. It is worth stating both the initial quantity and the volume you expect later: the same manufacturer does not always fit.
Decision points
These three milestones turn an initial need into a configuration that can be ordered again without reinterpretation.
We accept an incomplete drawing, a sketch or a sample. With prototypes the information is usually incomplete, and that is normal.
You fit the units on the real product and confirm what to adjust before closing the definition.
With the approved version, we prepare the series quote with price per quantity and supply lead time.
How we coordinate the supply
The purpose is to reach the series with the definition closed and no surprises on lead time.
Starting documentation
We collect what you have: a drawing, sketch, sample or a description of what you need to check. With prototypes the information is usually incomplete and that does not block the quote.
Documented iteration
Every change between versions is recorded, so that the final version is identifiable and later orders refer to the same revision.
Checking and adjustment
You receive the units and check what you had defined. If anything has to be adjusted, it is corrected before the configuration is closed.
Low-volume run or later supply
With the approved configuration we prepare the quote for the quantities you need, with volume pricing and supply lead time.
Coordinated manufacturing
The manufacturer that fits is not the same for a test unit as for a supply that repeats every month. The configuration, the components, the operations needed, the initial quantity, the volume expected later and the agreed checks all matter. We select and coordinate the one that corresponds in each case.
Justicia Marin coordinates the manufacture of prototype cable assemblies with specialised manufacturers, selected according to the configuration, quantities and requirements of the project. Production is carried out through our network; we centralise selection, coordination and supply so that you work with a single point of contact from the first unit.
Configuration — what is defined and what remains open
Components — part numbers, availability and accepted equivalents
Verification — what must be checked and against which criterion, where applicable
Quantity — initial units and volume expected later
Repeat orders — revision and configuration to be kept between orders
Not all projects go through the three stages. Some documentation is mature enough to start directly as a low-volume run, and some projects stay there. When there is a prior sample, you approve it before committing to a quantity and from then on we keep the approved configuration between orders.
Justicia Marin does not manufacture in facilities of its own: we select, coordinate and verify the supply through specialised manufacturers. If the project requires a specific level of control when repeating, it is agreed as electrical verification and testing.

What this service actually covers
Prototypes are carried out by manufacturers in our network. At very small quantities the unit price is necessarily higher than in series, and some processes or tooling may not be available for a single unit. We tell you before accepting the order, together with the viable alternative, rather than accept a job that cannot be fulfilled.
